Happy Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! *

 * if Christmas does not apply please insert the holiday of your choice and feel free to replace have with "had" if need be.

Just happy

Well, I went out for a nice dinner and saw an amazingly amazing show. I heard good news at work and today was a prefectly great day! You know what else? I rediscovered the need to be happy. I mean, no matter what is happening to me at any moment, being happy or being sad won't change what is happening or what will happen. So why not, just relax and let myself be happy. "God is in his heaven and all is right with the world" - Anee Of Green Gables.

I know people are going to think I am lame for posting this but, I think this is the best internet saftey video I have ever seen. I know this page is for posting about happy things but, I figgure preventing anyone from getting in trouble is happy right? I promise this isn't the typical "don't give out your information..." video. Just take my word for it and check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWq7SXaXj8g

And now for something a little more happy or at least sweet and Christmasy

Good Things

Good Things

Good things are about to happen for me.

I can sense it.

I can just about feel it in the air.

I am excited.

I can't wait to see how life pans out.
" Have you done anything today to earn your right to live tomorrow?" That was a quote I read in a book today and it caught my interest right away. Sure, well all have a right to live and be happy but, how do we earn this right? Can you sit there and count out the reasons you deserve to live tomorrow by the actions you have lived today? That is something to think about isn't it? So, what about you? What things do we do to earn our right to have another day to be alive? Maybe it is a good thing we don't have to earn each day. It is just another good example of the fact that we should be thankful for every single day we have. No matter how lame it sounds we have to live each day to the fullest, making good choices, helping others, sharing, giving and caring. I think that is how we earn a right to have tomorrow. So, what have you done to earn your right to live tomorrow?

* Credit for the quote comes from a book called "How to Tell the Difference A guide to Evaluating Children's Books for Anti-Indian Bias." which in turn was quoted from someone called Broker Ignacia.
Tomorrow I should be in my own classroom and I won't have to deal with some of the idiots I have to work with. Since this is a blog of happiness I will not focus on mean people nor their appointments or lunch times. I will get to work with "my little buddy" tomorrow and though most other people hate doing that, I kind of like it even if it is hard. I also have a nice easy early day and I need some easy days.

- Side note I have been watching ABC Familie's 25 days of Christmas. I am waiting for them to start putting the good cartoons on. Seriously Rudolph's Shiny New Year is such a terrible movie, it is very funny. As funny as it may be though, I am holding out for the better movies...c'mon ABC Family BRING OUT THE GOOD STUFF!!!

The holidays are here again!

I love this time of year. Who does not just love it? I could spout words like some dumb 1950s - lame old rock song or, spout off like a travle agent or a greeting care about Christmas in New England. I love snow, yes I do love snow you read that right. I don't like to drive in it but, I do still love it. I love snow men and ginger bread men and having my whole house decorated with all sorts of Christmas decorations. I love both of out Christmas trees and all of the ornaments. I have so many squeezed on my tree I doubt I could fit much more but, I always do. I love shopping for my friends and family and buying the perfect gifts for them. I love holiday flavors in food and drink. I love the traditional stuff like eggnog and gingerbread cookies and the silly stuff like "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" (though I like to sing it as "Harry Got Run Over By Lord Voldemort".) I love Holiday music - from the old stuff to the stuff sung by the music stars of today. I love the church bells and the decorations at church. I love the lights on house and candles in windows. I even love being cold outside! This is just my time of year. I could go on and on but, lets face it. This was lame enough wasn't it? Happy holidays everyone. The best time of the year is preparing for these special days. The spirit of the holidays is alive and well. All you have to do is look for it and feel it.
